Event Log
Log important events to the Windows Event Log
When this option is enabled MDaemon will log events into the application section within the Windows Event Log.
Server startup and shutdown
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry in the Windows event log when it is stopped and started.
Network sub-system or socket failures
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry in the Windows event log anytime there is a socket error or a problem with the network sub-system.
Required DLL could not be loaded
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry in the Windows event log anytime there is a required DLL that MDaemon was not able to load.
Database connectivity problems
If this box is checked and MDaemon is using an ODBC or LDAP backend an entry will be added to the Windows event log anytime MDaemon is not able to connect with the backend database correctly.
ODBC related problems with mailing lists
If this box is checked, anytime MDaemon has issues with connecting to an ODBC data source for a mailing list, an entry will be added in the Windows event log.
Lack of RFC compliance in configuration
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry to the Windows event log when its configuration is not RFC compliant.
Missing DNS server information
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry to the Windows event log when your DNS server information is missing from its configuration.
External Process startup failures
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry to the Windows event log when it is not able to correctly start an external process.
Attempted security violations
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry to the Windows event log anytime it detects an attempted security violation.
Tarpit / Dynamic Screen activity
If this box is checked MDaemon will add an entry to the Windows event log anytime MDaemon blocks a connection due to the dynamic screening, adds a delay to a connection due to the tarpit settings, or an IP address is added to the IP screen list.
