How to configure LAN domains in MDaemon
This article describes the steps necessary to configure a LAN domain
Note: The only situation which would require you to configure LAN domains would be when you have a domain that is local (on the same WAN or LAN), but separate from MDaemon. You will not need to enter any domains setup in MDaemon as a LAN Domain.
To configure a LAN Domain complete the following steps.
If you have a RAS/DUN connection to the Internet complete the following steps.
From the menu bar:
- Click Setup
- Click RAS Dialup/Dialdown
- Click the LAN Domain tab
- In the New Local LAN Domain field; enter 'example.com'
- Click Add
- Click Apply
- Click Ok
If you are using DomainPOP and have a direct connection to the Internet or are using RAS complete the following steps.
From the menu bar:
- Click Setup
- Click DomainPOP
- Click the Foreign Mail tab
- Click the radio button Do Not Deliver Mail Addressed to Non-Local Addresses
- Click the Unless button
- Enter 'example.com'
- Click Add
- Click Ok
- Click Apply
- Click Ok
