This article will explain how to 'BES enable' an MDaemon account and activate the BlackBerry device Over the Air (OTA).
Note: Activation for the first time may delete all data on the BlackBerry device. For this reason, before activating the device the user should use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to backup any data you do not wish to lose. In order to avoid duplicates on the BlackBerry device:
From the MDaemon console:
Once the device has been BlackBerry BES enabled, the end-user can set their wireless Enterprise Activation password through WorldClient. (Note: Only needs to be done once via the MDaemon GUi or WorldClient).
We are now able to activate the BlackBerry device with the wireless Enterprise Activation password we set. Note: Instructions for wireless activation may vary depending on which model and operating system the BlackBerry device you are using has installed. In this example, the BlackBerry 9650 (Bold) is used.
A new email icon will appear (Desktop) on your device representing your BES enabled MDaemon account and Enterprise Activation will continue in the background.
This feature is only available in MDaemon Pro.
