Question

I have MDaemon with SecurityPlus 4.x. Why did MDaemon unexpectedly restart?

Answer

SecurityPlus 4.0 added a new option to automatically update SecurityPlus when a new version is detected. This will require SecurityPlus to restart MDaemon.

Comments

If you do not wish for SecurityPlus to automatically update in the future, open the MDaemon console and follow these steps:

  1. Click the Security menu
  2. Click Antivirus

  3. Select AV Updater on the left pane
  4. Click Configure Updater

  5. Select the Misc tab
  6. Disable (uncheck) the option Auto-update SecurityPlus when a new version is detected

  7. Click OK
  8. Click OK
