(FAQ) MDaemon 11: What is a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) account and how do I set it up?

What is a BIS account, and how do I set it up?

A BIS account, or BlackBerry Internet Service account, is something that is setup through your cellular provider and allows you to access the Internet through your phone, such as websites and email. It also has the ability to check a POP/IMAP account for new messages and deliver them directly to your phone.

Setting up your BIS account can be done by contacting your vendor. You may setup your BIS account via your BlackBerry, or via your web-browser.
