Outlook Connector for MDaemon Performance Tips

The following suggestions will help keep Outlook Connector running smoothly.

•  Use a single Outlook Connector account in a profile of its own. For multiple accounts, multiple profiles are recommended.
•  Configure any third-party, desktop antivirus software to omit scanning of the Outlook Connector cache file (localcache.db), which is located under C:\Documents and Settings\-username-\Application Data\Alt-N\Outlook Connector 2.0\Accounts\ProfileName\User'sEmail@YourCompany.com.
See your antivirus program's documentation for details.
•  Configure Outlook Connector to download headers only. Click on "Accounts" on the Outlook Connector toolbar, select "Send/Receive," then check the box "Download Headers Only."
•  Configure Outlook Connector to only check the Inbox for new mail. Click on "Accounts" on the Outlook Connector toolbar, select "Send/Receive," select the option "Send/Receive checks mail in these folders," and un-check all boxes except the Inbox.
