Time is Running Out -- Notice to All MDaemon Anti-Virus Customers

Alt-N Technologies’ partner, Kaspersky Lab, has recently announced that it is making a change to its virus signature updating process. Consequently, customers using MDaemon Anti-Virus (MDAV) and SecurityPlus will need to update their software to the recently released Security Plus for MDaemon version 4.

This Change Will Need To Be Made Prior To December 31, 2008 To Continue Protection Of Your MDaemon Email Server With The Latest AV Signature Updates.

Please submit a Support Request if you have not upgraded your older AV product.
SyncML Setup for BlackBerry Devices

SyncJe from Nexthaus is a recommended SyncML client for BlackBerry devices.

To setup the synchronization profile:
  1. Download and install SyncJe from
    http://www.nexthaus.com/blackberry.html
  2. Select the SyncJe menu item
  3. Click the scroll wheel and select "Settings"
  4. Enter the following settings:
    Server: http://<Enter the host name and port for your WorldClient server>/MDSyncML.dll
    Username: Your MDaemon user name
    Password: Your MDaemon password
  5. Click the scroll wheel and select "Get Folders" — This will automatically populate the folder names for contacts, calendar, and tasks
  6. It is recommended that the "Only sync events between" option is enabled — This feature allows you to limit which calendar events are sent to the BlackBerry
  7. Click the scroll wheel and select "Save"
  8. Click the scroll wheel and select "Start Sync"
Note: BlackBerry Sync duplications – If a BlackBerry device is configured to sync more frequently than the specified number of minutes under "SyncML sessions time out after __ minutes" (under Setup – Web & SyncML Services – SyncML), duplications may occur.

RelayFax Network Fax Manager
– 6.7.7 Now Available!

RelayFax has now been updated to version 6.7.7.  This release updates the printer drivers to support Windows 2008 and 64-bit platforms, as well as adds support for Fax EIA class 2.1. There are also several changes and additional new features included in this update, as well as several program fixes. To learn more, please review the Release Notes.
SecurityGateway for Exchange and SMTP Servers
– 1.1.1 Now Available!

The recently released version 1.1.1 of SecurityGateway updates ClamAV to version 0.94.2 and improves the appearance of the paging/status bar. It also adds numerous fixes as well — view the SecurityGateway Release Notes for more information.
